Colleen K. Clawson, LCSW
Life comes with many challenges, but you do not have to face those challenges alone.
Throughout my career in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of providing counseling and support to countless individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings. After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Seattle Pacific University, I received a master’s degree in social work with a specialization in mental health from the University of Pittsburgh. I began my clinical career working with individuals and families facing addiction and mental health disorders in both an outpatient and residential setting. From there, I became clinical supervisor over a team of behavioral health therapists, before eventually moving my work to a private practice setting. I currently work with clients both in-person and online, as well as providing mental health consultation and education to organizations, groups, and businesses.
I consider it a privilege to partner with my clients in this work and to be trusted by them as they share their stories. In fact, it is my love of story that drew me to become a therapist, as I have always enjoyed hearing where people come from and the experiences they carry. I believe that the narratives we tell about ourselves and our lives have a direct impact on the way with think, feel and behave. And I strive to create a collaborative space for you to share and examine your own stories, for as Cheryl Richardson has noted, “People start to heal the moment the feel heard.”
I am able to aable to accept new clients at my office in Flower Mound, TX. I also offer an online therapy option (for residents of both Texas and Pennsylvania) via a secure video telehealth platform.

“People start to heal the moment they feel heard.”
