Individual Therapy

  • There is no cookie cutter therapeutic approach that works for everyone. Your needs and strengths are unique, and your therapy experience should be too. For this reason, I approach my work from a collaborative perspective, believing that you should always feel that therapy is focused on your individual strengths, needs, goals, and motivation. Whether you are dealing with difficult emotions, unwanted behaviors, relationship struggles, life transitions, or simply a desire to improve yourself; the work of talk therapy can help you to identify the patterns of thought and behavior that may be keeping you from your personal goals.

I have extensive experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Theory, Trauma Informed Care, and Family Systems Theory.  My therapeutic style is informed by these theories and experience but remains integrative and collaborative to allow us to tailor the work to you.  Thus, we will work together to increase your self-understanding, develop goals, target unwanted behaviors and feelings, and choose interventions that suit your needs and personality.

  • I am able to bill through many insurance plans for residents of the state of Texas. Please inquire to confirm that I am in-network and check your benefits for patient fees and responsibility.

Private pay rate for those wishing to pay out of pocket is $145 per session.

**Please note: all Pennsylvania residents must be billed private pay at this time.

Couples and Family Therapy

  • Our relationships create value, meaning, and joy throughout our lives.  But, when difficulties in relationships arise, we can feel discouraged and lost about how to move forward.  Whether working through active conflict or simply aiming to improve communication and connection in the relationship, Couples Therapy can provide valuable support and direction to spouses/partners who find themselves stuck repeating patterns of communication or behavior.  My work with couples is informed by the Gottman Method, Family Systems Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and aims to be a short-term intervention designed to help couples develop a therapeutic “road map” for improving communication and understanding in their relationship.

Although reconciliation and repair are often the goals of participants in Couples Therapy, this work is also recommended for couples in the premarital phase of relationships or for relationships that are ending. Premarital counseling can assist couples in identifying mutual goals and values, learning communication strategies to minimize marital conflict, and deepening empathy between partners as they build a relational foundation.  Couples therapy at the end of a relationship can help individuals in reaching a healthy separation and the redefinition of a relationship, especially when it is necessary for communication to continue in a significant capacity, as in the case of ongoing coparenting.

I also offer parent coaching and family therapy.  This can be especially helpful for those experiencing family transitions that need to be communicated to younger children, communication concerns or conflict between parents and adolescent children, or other family issues that necessitate having all members of the family present for the work.

  • I am not able to accept insurance for Couples Therapy or Family Therapy Sessions.

Private pay rate is $185 per session.
